SEO basics for every post you publish

Good SEO is mostly consistency. Before publishing any post, check these six things.

1. Title: clear, specific and under about 60 characters.
2. Meta description: one honest sentence, about 150 characters.
3. Headings: one H1, then H2s that outline the post.
4. Links: link to related posts and to trustworthy sources.
5. Images: descriptive file names and alt text.
6. Canonical URL: make sure each post has one address.
